Decomposing the cinematographic narrative visual artist and photographer Lise Duclaux isolates moments of tension in relationships. From stills reproduced on postcards to photo-fiction certain characters appear and disappear, actors and non-actors play side by side in a mise en scène of the drama of life. For her exhibition at CCNOA (2005), she conceived a semi-permanent installation for the CCNOA lounge and presented her latest experimental fiction video ‘your hair in my eyes’. Shot during her residency at the contemporary art centre of Parc Saint-Leger, the moving image takes over from the still to add a new dimension to the basic proposition.
